Beer Flood?
I SUBSCRIBE to the Writer’s Almanac that is aired on NPR and voiced by Garrison Keillor. It is usually about authors lives and sometimes it includes interesting historical dates and facts. Today’s mentioned a beer flood in London in 1814. injured people smelled like beer, which incited the people in the hospital to nearly riot.
They also mention the molasses flood in Boston in 1919 in the closing remarks.
